Lead generation

Why your community isn't growing even though you post every day

You post every day: analysis, charts, the occasional trade that went well. You get views, sometimes comments. And when you look at your list of active clients, the number barely moves. You don't lack consistency. You're measuring the wrong thing: to win clients as an IB, what counts isn't views.

Content is not client acquisition

This is the hardest mistake to see from the inside: confusing having an audience with having clients.

An audience watches. A client talks to you, decides, deposits and is still there the following month. Between the two there's a step most content never triggers: someone writing to you. If your posts generate views but not conversations, you're not acquiring clients. You're entertaining.

The three ways of posting that bring no clients

  • What any IB could post: the chart of the day, the famous trader's quote, a screenshot of a trade. It says nothing about how you work.
  • What speaks to the market, not to a person: correct analysis addressed to no one in particular.
  • What has no exit: it ends and there's no next step. No question, no invitation, no reason to write to you.

None of them is bad in itself. The problem is that they're the only things many IBs post, for months.

What actually makes someone write to you

A lead doesn't write to you because your analysis was good. They write because they thought: "this person understands my situation". That happens when your content shows what the chart of the day never shows:

  • How you work: what you do when someone starts, how you accompany them, what you say on a bad day.
  • Who you're talking to: the one who has never traded, the one who already lost with another broker, the one with an abandoned account. Each needs a different message.
  • What happens next: a concrete door. "Write to me and I'll tell you", "send me your question".

The content that acquires clients isn't the most viewed. It's the one that makes the right person feel they have permission to write to you.

The count almost nobody does

With your last twenty posts:

  • How many generated at least one new conversation?
  • How many of those conversations led to an account being opened?
  • How many of those accounts are still active today?

If the first number is close to zero, posting more won't fix it: you'll get more of the same. What changes the result isn't frequency, it's what you post and for whom.

Content opens the door; the work starts afterwards

Even the best content only opens the door. What turns a lead into a client is what you do when they write —and above all when they stop replying.

A community that grows isn't the one with the most followers. It's the one with a predictable flow: content that triggers conversations, conversations that hold, and clients who stay.

Client acquisition is Stage 1 of the academy

In IB ACADEMY, Stage 1 starts here: where your clients come from, what to post so that someone writes to you, and what to say in the first message. And we practice it in role play before you use it with a real lead.
